SYUBBANUL WATHON AS ISLAMIC GENERATION FOUNDATION

Syubbanul Wathon Islamic Foundation was faounded by the board of education of tegalrejo Islamic Salafi College, Magelang Central Java. This foundation is under the supervision of Nahdlotul Ulama, one of the biggest social-religious non goverment organitation in Indonesia. Thus, the idiology and the style of the organitation is based on the principles and the etnic code of Nahdlotul Ulama. However, this is an inclusive islamic foundation which is open to make a cooperation and take past in some social and cultural movements and activities. This enables the foundation to work together with the other foundations or organitation in developing and empowering the society.The main objectives of the founding of the foundation is to provide social and education service for the public of Magelang and around it. This foundation concerns on the efforts of building the quality of the human resource trough education and increasing the social awarnees of the sociaty trough social, cultural, and religious program. To implements it’s program, this foundation make a continual and mutual relation ship and cooperation not only with Nahdlotul Ulama, it’s forefather, but also some other organitation either religious organitations or non-religious ones.The chief executifve of this foundation is Yusuf Chudlori, he is the leader of Nation Resurgence party, one of the biggest political parties in Indonesia. He leads Central Java area. He is also one of the important persons in Nahdlotul Ulama. He is not only active in politic but also in education, social, religious, and cultural activities. Inspired from the condition af the society of Magelang and around it which is still lack of educational and social as well as cultural board of Tegalrejo salafi Islamic College Committed to establish and run Syubbanul Wathon Islamic Foundation.Tegalrejo Islamic Salafi College and it’s underbow Syubbanul Wathon Islamic Foundation is well know not only in Magelang. The student of the college cames from many parts  of Indonesia. They come there to learn some Islamic Subjects such as arabic, Islamic History, the principles of Islam law, the philosophy of islam, the etnic in islam, islamic theology, and ect. The college use the traditional curriculum of education that focuses on spiritual and mental building of the studens, however, the democracy of education is applied here so there is no college superiority toward the student. The students of the college learn, discuss, and analyze some books of Al-Ghazali and other moslem leader and theacher who are ready to build their society and community. There are above 3500 male students and 6500 female students, they stay and study in the boarding school which is classified according to the student are given many lessons that basicly are to integrate the knowledge of religion and belief, tolerance, and proportional democracy. Thus, the curriculum and it’s subjects are not to produce young moslem generation wich high fanatism and exclusiveness.Syubbanul wathon Islamic Foundation has two divisions, the first is educational didision and the second is Broadcasting division. The educational division is the one which is responsible to prepare and provide educational service to public. Under this division are school managed and supervised by Syubbanul Wathon Islamic Foundation from Pre School to University level.This following below are the schools managed and supervised by Syubbanul Wathon Islamic Foundation :1.     Al-Ma’ruf Pre-School2.     Al-Ma’ruf Elementary School3.     Alma’ruf Junior High School ( being prepared and Build )4.     Syubbanul Wathon Vocational SchoolDepartement of Multimedia and Information TechnologyThose schools are above integrate the national curriculum and the local curriculum. Local curriculum contains some subjects which are identical with Islam and The Morality and etnic of islam while the former one is the curriculum that is prepared by the departement of education and providing the students the general knowledge. This is done to creat dualified generation with right skill and competence but having good obedience to religion, morality, etnic and social rule in addition, the model of the integrated curriculum aims to syincronice the need of the student to ward technology, knowledge, and religion.5.     Syubbanul Wathon Islamic UniversityThis is the highnest level of formal school managed by Syubbanul Wathon Islamic Foundation. Differs from Tegalrejo Islamic Salafi College it uses formal curriculum as the other religious university apply. If Tegalrejo Islamic Salafi College uses the Traditional model of education and teaching, syubbanul Wathon Islamic University hold and run the education and teaching in different way. It is like the other general Universities that uses modern curriculum and model of teaching. However, the sense of Nahdlotul Ulama idiology is really identical in this campus as it take much contribution from the orgatitaion and become one of Nahdlotul Ulama Scholls in Magelang regency.
